For stakeout, you can view directions required to find the stake point in real time as you move.

The DS Series incorporates a 1,000m (3,280ft) reflectorless EDM.  This measurement can be achieved by a smaller beam extremely fast. Shot data can be as fast as .9 seconds in the fine mode, and the DS can also provide an accurate distance measurement to most object surfaces even over longer distances.
